Authors prospective of the book

 jon Krauker who wrote the book has a similar opinion of the Pat Tillman controversy as the Tillman family.It seems almost identical.He has the same opinion of the military should come clean and explain the misfortunate event of friendly fire.Which was the cause of death for Pat.He does a great job of incorporating his feelings on the story without being to bias as well as overall. Writing a fantastic book.

1. What was the reasonings for the author to write this book?
2. Did he know pat before he was killed?
3. How well did he get to know the Tillman family 
4. Did the military get angry or upset with some of the accusations the author was making about the militaries so called cover up?

Although the author did not know pat he got to know the family very well.this way he got great inside info for the book. As  According to  the New York Times  the military was upset with some of the accusations brought up in the book.

Part 1:Chapter 1

Summary

In the beginning of Where Men Win Glory the book briefly starts to describe the early years of Pat Tillman's life.Shortly after they move away from his life and head into the war part of the book.Describing why this had a major effect on Pat and why it happened.It explain the effects of the war in the Middle East between Russia and the terrorists  in the late 80's.It then starts to tell the story of how we provided training to the terrorists as well as money,and weapons.Then it starts to make sense of it all and eventually gets to the well known story of how Osama Bin Laden formed al Qaeda.
